Communications and Membership Manager

Part of the FNET team

Jess is a passionate communicator committed to justice and human rights. She has had the chance to work internationally, seeking roles that have challenged and inspired her. Most recently, she led Anti-Slavery International’s communications, where she worked on campaigns advocating for stronger labour rights and modern slavery prevention. In this role, Jess was able to learn about various forms of slavery, including descent-based slavery, trafficking, forced labour and state-imposed forced labour.

Over the past decade, Jess has brought her communications expertise to a wide range of causes, from community development projects in sub-Saharan Africa to health advocacy in Washington, DC, and research communications for a global think tank. Starting her career in programmatic roles, Jess found communications through her love of writing, editing and photography. Jess has enjoyed bringing these skills into the workplace and finding strategic approaches to storytelling to help audiences connect with issues that matter.

Jess studied at UCL and has a BA in History with Spanish and an MA in Transnational Studies with French. Jess loves the outdoors and can often be found swimming in cold water, climbing or trying to avoid injury while running.
