What is a Collaborative Action Required (CAR) finding?
A collaborative action required is a type of non-compliance audit finding in SMETA 7. They are recorded against fixed Workplace Requirements, where a site practice does not meet the ETI Base Code, but the responsibility and ability to enact closure may reside with more stakeholders than just the audited site.
This document includes information about why a CAR might have been found, and a draft action plan template for steps to be taken to address the CAR.
The Food Network for Ethical Trade (FNET) connects major UK food retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and a range of small, medium and large food companies to build more ethical trade by identifying and tackling human rights issues in food supply chains.
Please contact FNET if you would like to know more about the work we do and if you are interested in joining the network.
