Mel is a career-long food and farming specialist – for the last twenty years his work has included a focus on ethical practices in supply chains and agency labour. He has experience of managing difficult ethical challenges in a range of countries. He started his working life in the fields of Lincolnshire working under gangmasters – and always tries to understand the experience and perspective of the most vulnerable in our industry.
The Food Network for Ethical Trade (FNET) connects major UK food retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and a range of small, medium and large food companies to build more ethical trade by identifying and tackling human rights issues in food supply chains.
Please contact FNET if you would like to know more about the work we do and if you are interested in joining the network.
