Chris is an experienced financial and business professional with a track record of helping high impact purpose driven organisations achieve their goals.
Chris started his financial career at the John Lewis Partnership, before working in publishing with Hearst UK and in the financial services industry with UBS. He then moved his focus to concentrate on supporting ambitious social enterprises and SMEs, holding Finance and Commercial Director roles at Here, an innovative health and care social enterprise, 10:10 (now Possible), a climate change and renewables focused charity, and the Law and Development Partnership, an international trade and economic development consultancy. Chris now works as an independent consultant providing advice and support to the leadership teams and boards of high impact, purpose driven organisations.
As well as being a qualified accountant, Chris’s interest in systems thinking and sustainable economics led him to complete a Masters degree in Food Policy, a multi-disciplinary course covering socio-economic, political and environmental aspects of food and food systems. He subsequently became a research sssociate at the Food Ethics Council (FEC) and contributed to publications for FEC and the WWF alongside his financial career.
Chris brings a calm, positive and friendly approach which helps build a supportive and collaborative working culture.
The Food Network for Ethical Trade (FNET) connects major UK food retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and a range of small, medium and large food companies to build more ethical trade by identifying and tackling human rights issues in food supply chains.
