Helen’s cross- sector career spans three decades with specialisms in change, governance, human rights, financial stewardship and strategy. She is the Chief Executive of POhWER, Britain’s largest human rights independent advocacy charity. Helen additionally serves as a Board Trustee with Amnesty International UK & The Civil Liberties Trust and is an independent advisor to the College of Policing.
Helen’s passion is to empower people to live independent lives, to embrace the power of diversity and persuade powerful institutions to drive societal change towards a fairer equitable society. Helen holds a Masters in Finance from the City University of New York and is currently pursuing a second Masters degree in International Affairs at King’s College London.
The Food Network for Ethical Trade (FNET) connects major UK food retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and a range of small, medium and large food companies to build more ethical trade by identifying and tackling human rights issues in food supply chains.
